Since Maycon Cosmer's announcement as a contestant on Big Brother Brasil 24, there has been turmoil in the family of the boy known as “Tia da Merenda” for his work as a school cook. The Santa Catarina native's relatives were surprised by the confirmation of his name on the reality show.
Although he hasn't spoken to his brother Maycon in 12 years, Márcio Bolmerich believes his captivating nature will see him go far in the game. But he doesn't stop throwing a few jabs.
— Maycon is a showman, he likes to show off. The guy is good at it, but the public might be surprised. He will go far if he doesn't get knocked down by another competitor. He is very spontaneous and makes comedy easy. But it's also really great. Likes to feel superior. He likes to say that he wears Nike sneakers and Tommy the kitchen assistant tells EXTRA.
The distance between the brothers goes beyond socializing as they don't even follow each other on social media. According to Márcio, Maycon doesn't talk to the other brother either, but he doesn't reveal the reason for the separation.

According to Márcio, everything went wrong between them when Maycon was a gogo boy at the Eclipse nightclub, an old nightclub popular with LGBTQIA+ people.
— For economic and sexual reasons, we don't stay in touch, not even through social media. We were poor, we left home early, so we all rowed in one direction. He already told me: “I went through the gay phase because you introduced me,” said Márcio, who identifies as LGBTQIA+.
Maycon is married to Franciane de Souza. The couple made their relationship official eleven years ago, but have been together for 15 years and have even gone through several difficulties together, as the brother himself revealed on his Instagram profile.

“BBB 24” premieres next Monday (8), right after “Land and Passion”. There will be 26 in total this season. Last Friday (5) the public met the first 18. This Sunday (7) 14 new candidates, seven men and seven women, will be presented as part of “Fantástico”. A referendum will open on Sunday and the public has until Monday (8) to choose a pair.
In the live program on Monday, the men and women selected by the audience will be announced at the premiere of “BBB 24”. The other 12 candidates are then introduced to the first 18 contestants, who are already locked up in the most guarded house in the country. And it's up to them to choose the remaining 12 to complete the 26 count: three men and three women.

In “BBB 24,” every angel will be autoimmune and will also have the right to grant immunity to another person.
With the leader, the dynamic will also be different.
