Carol Kirkwood caused quite a stir when she presented the weather at BBC Breakfast on Friday, with eagle-eyed viewers asking if she’d secretly married.
The 60-year-old hostess announced on live TV back in May that she was engaged after her mystery partner Steve proposed with a stunning halo ring while strolling near their Berkshire home.
And Carol sent fans into a spin during Friday’s show, with some wondering if she traded in her engagement ring for a new diamond wedding band.

Carol previously gushed about the proposal when announcing their engagement on the show earlier this year.
“We got engaged while we were on vacation so that’s great news and we’re both thrilled,” Carol said, adding, “We went to the picnic, I had no idea.”

She continued: “The weather was lovely. We sat together and chatted, my other half was a bit nervous for some reason I didn’t know, he fumbled in his pocket and a ring came out.
“I actually thought he was joking, I didn’t believe him at first, but it was nice – it was quite romantic.”
Carol has previously said that she and her partner have agreed to keep their relationship private but gushed that he’s the “best thing that’s ever happened to me”.
Chatting to Prima Magazine in 2021, the TV star said: “He always makes me a cup of tea before I go to work in the morning, which is very romantic – it’s 2:45am and he often leaves me a little love note when I come home from work. That’s worth a million red roses to me.
Carol was previously married to cricketer Jimmy Kirkwood but the couple separated in 2008 after 18 years of marriage.
