Naga Munchetty warned Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt that he was on “dangerous ground” this weekend when he made a cheeky joke about her diet.
The BBC breakfast presenter, 48, and the TV chef, 49, are known for their banter and for attacking one another with humorous digs, and the latest show was no different.
But Matt’s recent witty dig at Naga almost got him in trouble, and the broadcaster warned him to “be careful”.
The drama began when Naga, who co-hosted Saturday’s show with Roger Johnson, searched for a link to Saturday Kitchen before declaring she was “hungry” as she hadn’t eaten her “second breakfast” yet.
When Roger, 54, expressed surprise at her second morning meal, Naga insisted she “always eats two breakfasts”.

She then went on to list what she eats in a day, and when she was surprised at her day’s diet, Matt chuckled and remarked, ‘Wow! You can take it, can’t you!’
Naga then quickly struck back and said, ‘I would leave it at that!’ Any more and you are on dangerous ground and you don’t want to go there, do you!’
When Matt, trying to stifle his laughter, then said, “Let’s turn it back!” Naga continued her mock anger and told him, “I’d be careful!”
After finding the exchange amusing, Matt got down to business and revealed what’s in store for him on his show.
This comes after Naga brutally attacked Matt in April after he begged her for “a little sparring”.
The interaction took place as Roger and Naga prepared to head to the Saturday Kitchen studios to see what was in store for them on the day’s show.
Turning to his co-star, Roger said, “We’ll be here until 10 this morning if your second favorite show on a Saturday Naga takes over,” while pulling an amused face.
He continued, “Matt Tebbutt and the team in the Saturday kitchen,” to which Naga then interjected, “Would you like me to agree with you on that?”

Don’t go there: Amazed at what Naga eats in a day, a giggling Matt couldn’t help but remark, ‘Wow!’ You can put it away, can’t you!’
Oh oh! Naga then quickly struck back and said, ‘I would leave it at that!’ Any more and you are on dangerous ground and you don’t want to go there, do you!’
Roger giggled in embarrassment and replied, “Well, I know you like a little bit of Saturday Kitchen…”
When Naga wished Matt good morning via the link, the screen showed the chef with his hands up, looking quite annoyed by Naga’s comments.
Naga laughed at his reaction and said, “What are those hands in the air?” to which Matt remarked, “I’m waiting for the punchline!”
“Come on, hit me. I’m in the mood today!’

Ouch: Naga and Matt are known for their banter – but it seemed their recent interaction had angered Matt as he exclaimed, “Ow, that hurt!”

Demand: “You fancy?” Naga asked, to which Matt said, “Yes, come on, some sparring.”
Taunts: Naga replied, “Are you?” before asking if any “good cooks and cooks” would appear on the show. Without batting an eyelid, she quickly added, “So that means you don’t cook!”
“You in the mood?” Naga asked, to which Matt said, “Yeah, come on, some sparring.”
Never one to disappoint, Naga simply replied, “Is that you?” before asking if any “good chefs and cooks” would show up on the show.
Without batting an eyelid, she quickly added, “So that means you don’t cook!”
As he and Roger started laughing, Matt exclaimed, “Oh, there it is!” There it is. Ouch, that hurt!’
