Beaten then left to die in a dumpster

A young woman was brutally beaten for hours last week before being thrown unconscious into a dumpster, Winnipeg police announced Wednesday.

According to police, officers were called to a hospital in Winnipeg on December 10 where they encountered a 27-year-old woman who had just been brutally attacked and was suffering multiple injuries.

She told police she was forced to go to an apartment building on Carlton Street, where she was held captive for hours and beaten until she lost consciousness.

Her captors eventually released her by throwing her into a dumpster. The victim's screams alerted a passerby who stopped to help her.

The police are looking for three suspects. One of them, Joey Michael Audy, 35, is suspected of beating the victim. He is wanted across Canada for attempted murder, assault, threats, theft and false imprisonment.

Two suspected accomplices, Evelyn Marie McKay, 40, and Romeo Chris Miles, 27, are wanted for theft and kidnapping.

The three suspects should not be approached under any circumstances, police warned, urging anyone who sees them to call 911.
