Nearly a year after the events, Montreal police investigators will return to the scene of a brutal crime in the Ville-Marie neighborhood on Friday, in which a 55-year-old man was brutally beaten and left for dead.
Investigators therefore want to meet people who may have information about this violent crime that took place on the night of August 14 at the corner of Ontario East Street and Poupart Street, very close to the Frontenac subway station.
At around 1am, the victim, Jean Gabriel Gustave, was severely beaten by someone and then taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Mr Gustave finally succumbed to his injuries four weeks later.
So far, no arrests have been made in this case.
Investigators will be present at the intersection of Ontario East and Poupart streets from 11 a.m. Friday to meet people who may have witnessed the fight.
The mobile command post of the SPVM will be on site for this occasion.
