There was a dispute between neighbors in Beauce on Thursday evening. A suspect was arrested by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) for discharging a firearm.
At around 7 p.m., the police were called to intervene because shots were fired on the Sainte-Thérèse route in Sainte-Hénédine.
There the chief of staff learned that there had been an argument between two people. However, no one was injured during the events.
Patrol officers arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with possession of a prohibited weapon. The second person involved in the events was not handcuffed.
Provincial police investigators accompanied by a forensic identification technician went to the scene to shed light on the matter.
If he appears at the courthouse, the gun owner could face charges of possession of a prohibited firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.
According to the spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec, Frédéric Deshaies, it was an “isolated event” that had “nothing to do with the other shots” that led to a police operation at the 2nd tier in Frampton, near the hideout led by a group of outlaw bikers.
