The Beetlejuice 2 film set in Vermont was broken into and authorities are still searching for the culprit.
The Vermont State Police shared a post on X with photos of the sculpture that was stolen from the East Corinth set of the film.
“We tried three times to say the name of this stolen statue, but it didn’t come back!” Vermont State Police joked in a post shared on July 21.
The X-post continued, “We are investigating the theft of this 150-pound sculpture from the Beetlejuice 2 set in East Corinth, along with a lamppost with a pumpkin decoration.”
Police urged the public to contact them by phone with any leads regarding the break-in.

Fans of the 1988 Beetlejuice film may recognize the stolen sculpture as it was a creation of Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara).
Tim Burton returns to direct the sequel to Beetlejuice, which is currently slated to premiere on September 6, 2024 but could change due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Michael Keaton will reprise his role and will be joined by Jenna Ortega on Wednesday.
Mike Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are in charge of writing the screenplay, while Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are also serving as producers. Also producing are Tommy Harper, Plan B, Marc Toberoff and David Geffen.
Other actors starring in the sequel include Willem Dafoe and Justin Theroux, as well as original cast members Winona Ryder and O’Hara.
