INTERNATIONAL – In addition to the Prague attack, he was suspected of a double murder. David K. killed 14 people at the prestigious Charles University on Thursday, December 21st, before committing suicide on the spot. Investigators reveal he also killed a father and daughter six days before his suicide.

On December 21, police found a note in the 24-year-old attacker's home. In it, he admits to shooting a man and his two-month-old baby in Klanovice Forest in the eastern suburbs of the Czech capital on December 15, the BBC reports.

A police spokesman confirmed this information to Czech media outlet Denik N, but said that “the contents of the document cannot be published at this time due to the ongoing investigation.”

Suspected of killing his father

According to Czech media, investigators had already begun searching for this person before the shooting, as David K. was on a long list of potential suspects in the Klanovice murders. In addition, he is suspected of killing his father, who was found dead in the village of Hostoun, west of Prague.

David K. was previously unknown to the police. He studied at Charles University and was considered a “good student”. Speaking on Radio Prague International after the attack, a student said: a quiet boy, an introvert. He didn’t talk to us much.”

Police Chief Martin Vondrasek, in turn, stated on December 22nd that David K. had set off for Prague “saying he wanted to commit suicide.” Police, having learned that the suspect was scheduled to attend a conference at the university at 2 p.m., had evacuated the affected building, but the attack did not occur in that building. While police were searching the Faculty of Arts building, the suspect actually went to another building nearby. But the officers didn't find him in time.
