In this Tuesday’s episode (5) of Terra e Paixão, Agatha (Eliane Giardini) will explain to viewers and Antônio (Tony Ramos) why she wants to take revenge. “He killed my father,” he will say. The scene is one of the last for the villain, who will be murdered on Thursday (7). The farmer will listen to the woman’s speech and even react, but he will be very weakened due to the doses of poison he unknowingly ingested.
The sequence begins with the vixen forcing her husband to sign some papers. It is a power of attorney for her to take possession of all his assets. Exhausted and dizzy, he will lie down and watch her laugh like a witch as she picks up the documents.
“Antônio, you have just signed a power of attorney giving me the right to transfer all of your assets into my name! “Isn’t that wonderful?” the viper will shoot. He will have a moment of clarity.
“Agatha… Why? Why are you doing this to me? Is it hate? Is it hatred you have for me?” he will ask. “I have come back to destroy you and take back everything you took from my family,” Agatha will say, adding that she will avenge her father’s death.
He will say that he never took anything away from her family. Agatha will then explain that it was his father who did everything.
He took away the land that belonged to my parents and led my family to ruin. When my father tried to complain, he was killed by one of his father’s thugs, Antônio. So my mother fled with me to another city… And there she lived in poverty until her death. It was at this time that I fell in love with Gentil [Flavio Bauraqui]but when I came to Nova Primavera and met you, I soon decided that I would only marry for revenge.
He will be stunned. “But you made my life hell, and
I had to run away… But now, after all these years, I had the great chance to keep everything to myself… And yes, I will kill you, Antônio… But I will go to get you little by little kill so no one suspects,” Agatha will scream.
Terra e Paixão was written by Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes. The story takes place in the fictional town of Nova Primavera in Mato Grosso do Sul. The story will remain on air until January 19 next year and will be replaced by the remake of Renascer (1993).
