Before the drama, Ben and Vanessa split after 16 years as a couple after he started cheating on her during the relationship.
When Ben first announced the harassment, he revealed on Instagram that he was constantly being abused by a stalker online. However, he reassured fans that he was fine after contacting the Metropolitan Police about the ordeal.
In a first post he wrote: “Danger! [A stalker] contact my followers and spread lies. She is dangerous and has a history of it. He then posted a video saying, “People ask me if I’m okay.” I’m definitely fine. No problem.’
Revealing he had been harassed for months, he said: “It’s a girl who I think is contacting some of my followers and spreading things, this and that.” Just be careful.
“She doesn’t go by her real name so she’s going to contact you through a troll account and basically she’s just a troll and she’s been harassing me and stuff for months.”
“So much so that the Metropolitan Police are involved.” So if you get any questionable messages from anyone, it’s them.’
The news comes after it was revealed that Ben has found a new career path by providing dating advice for an online magazine after cheating on his ex-fiancee.
