Ben Shephard left The One Show hosts blushing as he made a very racy confession about his student days.
The 47-year-old Good Morning Britain star met fellow guest Shirley Ballas on Wednesday’s BBC show, which soon revealed Ben has a secret degree in contemporary dance.
But presenters Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas were shocked when Ben opened up about his studies, cheekily stating, “My contemporary dance degree was very much about walking around, physical theatre, stripping and stocking up on soy sauce”.

When he and Shirley were interviewed on the show, Alex remarked, “Queen of Latin dance here, but also king of the dance.”
To which a stunned Ben replied, “King? king of dance? What dance are you talking about?’
Alex then said: “Apparently you have a background in dancing,” and Jermaine inquired about a possible Strictly Come Dancing stint, adding: “You’re sitting next to Shirley, a Strictly question. Will we see you on it sometime?’
But while an excited Shirley quickly jumped in and exclaimed, “Yes!” Ben explained that his degree might not make him the right candidate to film on the Strictly dance floor.

He then raised his eyebrows as he described the scope of his studies, explaining, “My contemporary dance degree was mostly about walking around, physical theatre, stripping and stocking up on soy sauce. Such things.
A stunned Jermaine replied, “What?!” Ben continued: “I know JJ, it’s been a great three years. Me and 16 girls in leotards and tights.
“You can see why I enjoyed it!
“So it was more like that than kind of having hips that move, which is vaguely Latin.”

It was then revealed that Shirley would later put Ben through his paces, but when he protested she insisted, “I’m very excited to be dancing with someone who has a degree!”
Despite everyone agreeing that he should strictly do it, Ben has previously revealed that he didn’t sign up because “my wife didn’t want me to have an affair.”

Speaking on Good Morning Britain in 2018, Ben – who is married to Annie Perks – joked that he thought affairs were “part of the deal” of being on the BBC programme.
The so-called “Strictly Curse” has been a much-discussed element of the competition in recent years, as many celebrities who took part ended their marriages and relationships after being on the program.
During the light-hearted exchange, Kate Garraway told Ben she didn’t fall victim to the curse while taking part on the show – but joked that it was only because “nobody asked.”

The comment erupted in laughter from Susanna Reid – who appeared on the show in 2013 – and said: “You don’t have to have an affair on Strictly!”
