As the British press is now publishing, the event happened several weeks ago, so at least a month ago, but the exact date of the incident has not been announced. It all happened when the 46-year-old actor; his wife, theater director Sophie Hunter, 45; and their three children – Christopher, aged seven; Hal Auden, five; and Finn, four, were at their north London home, estimated to be worth more than four million euros, when they heard screams coming from the garden. The man is Jack Bissell, 35, a chef who worked at the Beaumont, a luxury five-star hotel in Mayfair, one of the most central and luxurious areas of the British capital. For two periods, between 2017 and 2018 and also between 2019 and 2020, he was chef de partie – one of the chefs responsible for a specific product or preparation – in the restaurant. It is not known if he had any kind of relationship with Cumberbatch, Hunter or their family.
