Benedict Cumberbatch jokingly hinted at a cameo in his new Doctor Strange film on Tuesday while visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The 45-year-old English actor appeared on the NBC talk show to promote Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness ahead of Friday’s release.
Jimmy, 47, noted that Marvel Studios movies usually mean they’re not allowed to “talk about anything.”

“No,” said Benedict.
“Has it changed, has it changed? Can we talk about anything?” Jimmy asked.
‘No. Basically, you have to talk about a movie that I can’t talk about,” said Benedict.
Jimmy was able to confirm that the highly anticipated sequel will be out on Friday and will be projected onto a screen and feature some people.

“People?” Jimmy asked.
“Mostly, yes,” said Benedict.
“There are rumors that there might be a cameo or two in there,” Jimmy said.

“Well look I guess I’m on the Fallon show so maybe, maybe Jimmy, I can just give you a hint of someone who could be in the movie because it’s coming out pretty soon. I won’t give her name,’ said Benedict.
“But I’ll see if you can guess it from a theme tune or something else that they’ve done?” he added.
Benedict then hummed the theme song to “Top Gun” with Tom Cruise, 59, and Jimmy excitedly asked, “Okay, really?”
A clue: “Well, look, I think I’m on the Fallon show, so maybe, maybe Jimmy, I can just give you a hint of someone who might be in the movie because it’s coming out pretty soon.” I won’t give her name,’ said Benedict.
“No,” Benedict said, causing the studio audience to laugh.
“That was pretty good, by the way. That was really good,” Jimmy said.
“Sorry to disappoint people who want to see two Tom Cruise movies in one month,” Benedict quipped.

Jimmy then asked Benedict to teach him a Doctor Strange move when he casts his spells.
Benedict revealed director Sam Raimi, 62, is actually doing the moves and demonstrated by standing behind Jimmy and conjuring up magical portals.
Jimmy and Benedict previously played a game of charades with guest Sydney Sweeney, 24, and Roots band member Tarik Trotter.

The game was competitive and ended with Benedict and Sydney both silently playing the song Drop It Like It’s Hot.
Jimmy demanded an immediate replay to see who won and Tariq was declared the winner.
Sydney was promoting HBO teen drama Euphoria and revealed that when she was 11, she presented her parents with a plan to become an actress.
She portrays lead actress Cassie Howard in the critically acclaimed series, in which 25-year-old Zendaya plays drug-addicted teen Ruby “Rue” Bennett.
