(ANSA) – NEW YORK, 20 AUG. – Contrary to all rumors that their nuptials have been nearing the end of the road for the past few days, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are back in Georgia to celebrate it a second time: with great fanfare, this time after their flash midnight nuptials in a drive -in Chapel in Las Vegas. The three-day celebrations honoring the protagonists of Love Story of the Year took place at Affleck’s Tara-style plantation in Riceboro, Georgia, where Ben and JLo were supposed to be married twenty years ago, but then the marriage went up in smoke due to too much media attention and the two broke up only to meet again last year and promise each other eternal love.
For days everything has been ready at the huge estate that Affleck bought in 2003 and which is rumored to be relaunched: To officiate the exchange of vows, the “Bennifers” called life coach Jay Shetty, a former British monk’s darling from many celebrities. Fireworks at sunset, live music, the bride in a dress by Ralph Lauren Couture made in Italy and a hundred guests of honor: including their children, but also their best friend Leah, Remini, and alongside Ben, his lifelong friend Matt Damon, who shared Boston schools, a passion for cinema, and the first Oscar for the screenplay for Good Will Hunting. Matt arrived on a private jet with his wife, Luciana Barroso, shortly after a minor traffic accident that temporarily disrupted the party: the groom’s mother, Chris Anne Boldt, fell off a pier, injuring her leg and ending up in the emergency room of the Savannah -Hospital for a few hours.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got married in Las Vegas on July 17. Post-Paris, however, the couple’s paths parted – she on Capri for the LuisaViaRoma gala and Unicef, he in Los Angeles on the set of a new movie – fueling gossip that their union was already on a rollercoaster ride.
