Despite a black eye, a broken nose and stitches, he continued to work for two weeks because his sense of duty outweighed the motorbike accident that left his face shattered. But in the end Beppe Convertini had to give up and is now in Rome’s San Filippo Neri hospital for two days for an operation. And it was the conductor himself who posted a few photos from his hospital bed on Instagram to tell his followers what happened to him.

Unfortunately, I’ve been in the hospital for two days – writes Convertini in the long post on vaccinations – “It happens to you when you’re on a motorcycle and a car cuts you off … but thanks to Dr. Scopelliti and the staff of San Filippo Neri in Rome, my nose and eye are back in place!In these two weeks I have worked despite a completely destroyed face, a black eye, a broken nose and natural stitches, thanks to the sense of duty that my family and my beloved Puglia, the ancient values of our grandmothers and grandfathers: family , work, respect precisely the sense of duty … In fact, you saw me with glasses trying to hide by broadcasting “LineaVerde” on Rai1 on Sundays, recorded a commercial and many other jobs…”.
At some point, however, the conductor had to stop because the operation could no longer be postponed and the hospital stay made sense. “In the hospital there are many meetings with people who are really suffering and need help. Let’s at least remember to give them a smile, which, along with prayer, is the most important therapy,” concludes Convertini, immediately immersed in the wishes of his friends, colleagues and fans for a speedy recovery.
