Franco Bernabè displeases Lilli Gruber. It’s all happening at the opening of the talk “Otto e Mezzo” on LA7 on Friday April 21st. The moderator noted that during the week there was talk of ethnic replacement, anti-fascism, immigration, tax breaks for couples with children, but little about the real economy. Then the question to Bernabè, former president of Acciaierie d’Italia: “What is the budget of the Meloni government after six months?” and the seraphic manager: “Quite positive”.
He then specified his thoughts: “The Italian economy is doing better than others, the social situation is better than in many other European countries, the spread is lower than a year ago. I would say that Giorgia Meloni has essentially done nothing to worry the markets. So if this continues, the Italian economy should be doing relatively well in a very turbulent world right now.”
Gruber listened, gathered and sought support from Massimo Giannini, the director of “La Stampa”, who, however, essentially confirmed Bernabè’s economic vision: “It is true that the government has not messed up. He did not worry the markets and respected the balance sheet, even if – the journalist argued – public opinion, given the many campaign promises, did not expect “to do nothing”, but to do something important. To make up for the lack of concrete measures to support income and work, the right turns to ideology.
