Federico Bernardeschi and Veronica Ciardi have chosen the living room of “Very right” to publish their first interview as a couple. In the episode, which aired on Saturday January 28th, the two relived their love and decided to tell each other between joys and pains. Federico and Veronica spoke about their new life in Toronto where they said they had a great time with their daughters Deva and Lena.
First of all, the footballer wanted to thank us Silvia Toffanin for giving him the opportunity to express himself as a person, as a man and as a father. “Unfortunately, in the world of football, you always see when you’re going to get there. but There is always a story behind the man, which is unfortunately never seen. In fact, I want to thank you for giving us this opportunity to tell about us as a couple and as husband and wife. So it’s really a pleasure to be here,” he emphasized when discussing his beginnings in the world of sport.
The 28-year-old has spoken openly about the sacrifices his parents made and the heart problems he had when he was 16, which forced him to put his passion on hold. Fortunately, however, things got better and Federico managed to make his biggest dream come true: become a footballer.
The couple then reminded him beginning of their love story. A story born after a deep friendship on the beaches of Formentera: “We started writing to each other as if we were each other’s secret diaries. We came out of two specific stories, so we started telling each other, and that’s when I fell in love with his soul.” The former Gieffina admitted she was scared at first given the age difference. In fact, Veronica is nine years older than her husband.
The two wed in 2021 but before the fateful day there were two marriage proposals. In fact, Ciardi had initially rejected the midfielder: “We were on the road, I had everything prepared and am making this suggestion. She looks to the side and I get on my knees. But he didn’t turn around. I waited and never turned around.”
To which replied Toffanin in shocking astonishment: “No, I don’t think so. I’m sorry Veronica, but that’s a little too much!”. “She didn’t say no, she said yes right away because the love was there. But afterwards he approached me and said, look, we have other things to do before this step. But I have to say that he’s been right so far,” Federico clarified immediately.
The final yes came after three years while watching a simple movie on the sofa. A decidedly simpler and more goliardic proposal, in which the athlete only had to say: “Moche famo? Are we getting married this summer?” to get the long-awaited yes from the then-girlfriend. The two married on July 13, 2021, just days after Italy’s victory at the European Championships. In short, a day full of events to celebrate.
So there is room for emotions. Ciardi couldn’t hold back the tears talking about her father, who died in 2020. When she saw a photo of a balloon with “Papo” written on it from the wedding day, She remembered her beloved father: “We wanted him to lead me to the altar. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it.”
The 38-year-old couldn’t finish the speech because she was so moved and her husband immediately intervened, who also burst into tears emotionally: “This man was like a father. I tattooed it, I just wrote ‘my friend’. He met me when I was a kid so we grew up together. She suffered a lot and still suffers everything. I was supposed to be the anchor, but inside I was torn to pieces. I hope I was able to help her.”
In closing, Veronica admitted that she doesn’t miss the world of television, although she has fond memories of her experience at the House of “Big Brother”. On the other hand, Federico has nice words for his former team, la juvenilehowever, reiterated that he wanted to live this incredible new experience in Toronto.
Veronica Ciardi and this visible change
It was 2009 when Federico Bernardeschi’s wife entered the most spied on house in Italy and won the hearts of viewers. But fourteen years later, many of those admirers were having a hard time recognizing this 24-year-old girl.
During the interview broadcast on “Verissimo”, several viewers noticed it a sharp change in the face of the former Gieffina compared to years ago. Some have made irony about the alleged use of aesthetic adjustments. In fact, Ciardi’s face appears to have undergone multiple surgeries. Veronica has never publicly admitted to having approached the surgeon, but this latest appearance has left room for some doubts about that.
