Best in travel Lonely 2023: from flavors to combinations, the new categories
However, compared to the previous editions, this year’s edition has a major innovation: a subdivision according to a criterion linked to the type of trip and not to the size of the territory (as in the past, when countries, regions and cities were selected became ).

The category flavors takes into account six culinary scenes of international importance, known for their lively street food but also for their starred restaurants (among the destinations there is also an Italian one, the only one on the list). Lonely Planet: Who chooses the destinations?
First, the large Lonely Planet community defined a macro list of the right goals for 2023: employees, authors, bloggers, partner publishers.
