Thanks to the sharp increase in prices in the export markets and the cold winter temperatures observed at the beginning of the year, net profit reached US$4,557 million compared to US$3,564 million in the previous financial year.

“In light of these unprecedented results, Hydro-Québec will be able to pay its sole shareholder, the Quebec government, a dividend of US$3,418 million, the highest in its history,” said Jean-Hugues Lafleur, executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer.
