It’s been a while since Bethesda announced the Indiana Jones game. However, an ongoing hearing has confirmed more details about the title.
As part of the ongoing FTC hearing on Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Bethesda Softworks Chief Publishing Officer Pete Hines has confirmed that the upcoming Indiana Jones game will be a console and PC exclusive for Xbox, Eurogamer reports.
It also stated that a multi-console deal existed, but that changed following Microsoft’s acquisition of the company in 2021.
Given Indiana Jones’ penchant for rescuing ancient artifacts, the now Xbox-exclusive game could rival PlayStation’s Unch franchise, but with no idea what the gameplay will be like, it’s probably too early to know for sure accept.
The announcement comes in the run-up to the recent return of LEGO Indiana Jones as we approach release day of the fifth film on June 28th, 2023. It’s not yet certain when we can expect the game to be released, so it could be a few more years at the time of writing.
Three Indiana Jones LEGO models are available now for Indiana Jones and next week’s Dial of Destiny.
