On Monday, Erin, a registered nurse who still uses the last name Ziering on social media, broke her silence on the altercation on Instagram.

Sources told the outlet that Ziering's “vehicle…may have been struck” before the incident was caught on camera.

According to sources, Ziering was able to get back into his vehicle and leave the scene, while the group of mini-bikers also abruptly left the scene following the violent incident.

The incident marked the latest chapter in a challenging year for cast members of “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

Shannen Doherty underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her head on January 16, 2023, and made the news of her long-running health battle public in June. (Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and in February 2020 she said she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.)

Ziering kicked an attacker as he ran across the street. As he argued with a driver, he was attacked by others who attacked him. The actor fought off the attacks as he was pushed against a car. Also in January, Doherty and her ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko separated, and she announced that they were divorcing in April due to “irreconcilable differences.”

Doherty said on her podcast earlier this month that she was looking forward to ending a “tumultuous” year filled with “some massive health issues, some massive personal issues” and “a lot of heartache and anxiety.”

Earlier this month, Ziering told People that Doherty “has always been a fighter” and is “truly an incredible woman.”

His co-star Tori Spelling has made headlines in the last 12 months with a series of financial problems, uncertain living conditions, physical illnesses and her split from her estranged husband Dean McDermott.
