Ian Ziering has spoken out after he was involved in a shocking daytime brawl with a group of mini-bike riders in Hollywood on New Year's Eve.
The 59-year-old Beverly Hills 90210 alum shared details of the “alarming incident” on Instagram on Monday, updating fans on the condition of his 12-year-old daughter Mia, who was in his car at the time of the altercation.
“While I was stuck in traffic, my car was aggressively hit by one of these drivers, resulting in a disturbing confrontation,” he began. “I got out of my car to assess the damage. Unfortunately, this action escalated into a physical altercation, which I saw through for my own protection.”
A video of the violent episode shows the star brawling with four bikers who threw punches and kicks before sprinting across the street on Hollywood Boulevard.
“I am relieved to report that my daughter and I both escaped completely unharmed, but the incident leaves me deeply concerned about the growing audacity of such groups disrupting public safety and peace,” Ziering added on Instagram.

“This situation highlights a larger problem of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior.”
“As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this type of behavior that causes fear and chaos, while the authorities’ response appears inadequate,” he continued, calling on law enforcement “to take decisive action to take”. '
“I have always been committed to fighting intimidation and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety.”
He concluded: “I am grateful for the support of my family, friends and fans during this time.”

A source told that Ziering is “doing well” after the incident.
It was not immediately clear as of Sunday evening whether anyone had been arrested in connection with the incident, TMZ reported, noting that “an official report” lists the Newark, New Jersey-born actor “as a victim” of the incident.
In an additional video published by the media, Ziering appeared to comfort Mia, who appeared visibly upset.

Police told the outlet that they are investigating the incident and communicating with those involved in the incident, which occurred around 3 p.m. on Sunday near the iconic corner of Hollywood and Highland, just off the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
Sources told the outlet that Ziering's “vehicle…may have been struck” before the incident was caught on camera.
According to sources, Ziering was able to get back into his vehicle and leave the scene, while the group of mini-bikers also abruptly left the scene following the violent incident.
