Beyoncé took a break from her ongoing Renaissance world tour to support husband Jay-Z and his new Book of HOV exhibit at Brooklyn Central Library.
The Book of HOV exhibit includes “thousands of archived objects, including original recording masters, never-before-seen photos, iconic stage attire, prestigious awards and recognition, and videos and artifacts from every facet of Jay-Z’s professional life.” according to the event’s website.
The pop superstar, who tried to spend as much time as possible at Thursday’s event with his 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, documented his experiences on her Instagram the following day.
She was able to attend the opening due to a three-day break in her touring schedule that allowed her to fly to New York after her show in Marseille, France on Tuesday, July 11.
Despite her busy schedule and jet-set style, Beyoncé was still the epitome of elegance at the show in a bright orange dress with a retro 1970s vibe.
Like a mother, like a daughter: Beyoncé, 41, and daughter Blue Ivy, 11, spent quality time together at Jay-Z’s new Book of HOV exhibit at Brooklyn Central Library this week
Beyoncé appeared at the event arm in arm with Jay-Z, who looked handsome in a black suit with a white shirt.
As heads turned to follow the celebrity power couple’s route, others followed close behind, including some family and friends.
The sheer orange fabric hugged her gorgeous figure perfectly, while the plunging neckline accentuated the Crazy In Love star’s cleavage.
The skirt part was a slightly darker shade of orange which provided some contrast whilst she carried a bright charcoal colored handbag.
To complete her overall look, the Houston, Texas native rocked gold open-toe heels.
Her long locks were blonder than usual and tied in a high ponytail.
Beyoncé slowed through the exhibit, admiring the various artifacts. At one point she stopped to get in touch with Blue Ivy.
In a sweet, loving gesture, the eldest of the couple’s three children slung her right arm around her mother’s waist as they chatted.
It looks like Blue Ivy inherited her mother’s penchant for style as she wore a royal blue off the shoulder dress and a matching small handbag.
Resembling her mother in chic sunglasses, the teen had her dark brown locks styled into long, thin braids.
Wow! Despite her busy schedule and jet-set style, Beyoncé was still the epitome of elegance at the show in a bright orange dress with a retro 1970s vibe
