Britain’s Got Talent viewers were in for a treat on Saturday night as auditions entered their sixth week.
And while a group of pantomime ladies, a touching contemporary dance and two comedic performances earned the judges’ praise, it was rappers and pianists Flintz & T4ylor who bagged Alesha Dixon’s coveted golden buzzer.
Alesha, 43, was the final judge comprised of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams to grant a hopeful automatic spot in the competition’s semifinals – and rapper Flintz, 23, and pianist Taylor, 17, sparked their desired interest.
Britain’s Got Talent 2022: “They say in life, save the best for last!” Alesha Dixon presented her coveted gold buzzer to rap and pianist duo Flintz & T4ylor on Saturday – who met for the FIRST time at their audition
The talented couple hadn’t rehearsed together before the audition – as their paths had never crossed in real life. “We met via Instagram during the first lockdown,” Flintz, from Croydon, told the judges. ‘Today was the first day we met!’ Taylor from Birmingham added.
Taylor explained how he sent the piano support over social media so Flitz could practice his original rap.
“I was a troublesome kid, hanging out with the wrong people and taking the wrong path. With Mom and Dad’s guidance, they pulled me out and helped me become the person I am today,” Flintz said of his personal lyrics.
Flintz’s song “Change” was written to inspire his younger brothers not to “follow in the same footsteps” as he did: “I want them to be better than me,” he told the judges.

The performance was greeted with thunderous applause and a standing ovation, with Flintz’s mother, father and brothers looking on proudly.
Amanda gushed, “Everything was so clear and so passionate. I loved hearing your story – you are phenomenal on this piano.
David added, “There’s a lot of people watching that that’s going to relate to that and they’re going to get a very positive message out of it,” while Simon called it a “perfect audition” and “movie history.”
Goldsummer giver Alesha praised: “Nothing makes me happier than to see young musicians. We’ve never had anyone on the show like you. They say in life, save the best for last…” before hitting the golden buzzer.
Impressive: The performance was celebrated with thunderous applause and standing ovations, Flintz’ mom, dad and brothers watched proudly
At the beginning of the audition, Simon joked that a drag ensemble was “better” singers than the Spice Girls.
The mogul made the hilarious remark after Damenation – the very first dames to take the stage at the talent show – made their grand entrance in their flashy pantomime dresses.
Before sneering at the ’90s pop sensation, his impressed co-star David gushed, “I felt like I died and went to heaven!”
Simon soon chimed in: “It was like a Spice Girls reunion… only better vocals.”
Damenation played rewritten versions of I Will Survive and It’s Raining Men (changed to It’s Raining Dames).

Simon was also full of praise for the Dane Bates Collective – a contemporary dance company that performed a highly emotional routine based on the true story of a prisoner of war during World War II.
He praised, “This is by far the best dance routine this year,” while a moved Amanda added that she “wanted to know the whole story.”
Father-of-one Simon was also not without compliments for magician Junwoo, who performed an inspirational hand card trick: “I think you are brilliant. One of the best magicians we’ve seen all year,’ he said.

Eva Abley received a standing ovation for her stand-up comedy.
The 14-year-old, who suffers from cerebral palsy, kept the judges laughing throughout her routine.
Amanda said of her performance: “You won us over immediately. Your timing was fantastic! You’re so relaxing to watch,” while Simon chimed in, “You’re fearless and people will love you. I think you’re one to beat now, Eva.”

Poignant: In another proceeding, singer Alexander D. Great sang a song dedicated to the Queen while black and white photos of Her Majesty were displayed behind him. He got four yeses
Good sport: David was actively involved in recent auditions, being reluctantly tricked into pulling a heart-shaped sword from a woman’s throat while she was dressed as Marilyn Monroe

David was actively involved in recent auditions, being reluctantly tricked into pulling a heart-shaped sword from the throat of a woman dressed as Marilyn Monroe.
And he found himself once again at the mercy of a terrible performer as blindfolded Chirag Lukha sliced a cucumber he held over his face while lying on the floor.
Don’t try this at home! The judges then watched with open hearts as a shirtless contestant named Tulga performed a dangerous fire stunt

It wasn’t just the acts that kept the entertainment as David hilariously dressed up as the famous golden buzzer to kick off the final round of auditions.
He playfully blew a confetti cannon in Simon’s face while Amanda and Alesha watched.
