Kanye West's wife, Bianca Censori, is often in the spotlight for her bold fashion choices. The 29-year-old model, who works with her brand Yeezy, has a reputation for pushing boundaries with her outfits, sometimes leading to controversy and criticism. At the recent Paris Fashion Week, the couple once again drew attention with daring fashion statements. However, unlike in the United States, Censori's decisions could potentially violate French decency laws.

On February 27, the young model made an impressive appearance against the backdrop of the cobbled streets of Paris. The young model wore transparent leggings without underwear and a transparent blue crop top and caused a stir. For a touch of glamour, she wrapped herself in a fur coat and matching boots. While many expected her to wear a designer piece or a statement outfit in the fashion capital, she decided to go her own way. Still, the ensemble Censori wore in France exceeded the usual level of exposure and may have violated the country's indecent exposure laws.
French law of decency
Article 222-32 of the French Penal Code, which came into force in March 1994, states: “Intentional sexual exhibition in front of the eyes of others in a place open to the public is punishable by one year in prison and a fine of one hundred thousand francs.” It also says in the law: “The charge is formulated in such a way that proceedings against people who practice nudism in specially designated places are excluded.”

The couple were fined £10,000 in 2023 for walking around “almost naked” in public in Italy before this incident. The Italian Constitutional Court gave them the choice of paying the fine or going to prison for violating the law.
Designer behind Bianca Censori's outfits
Sources close to Kanye West's fashion projects have revealed that West has a dedicated design team based in Italy that designs clothes for him and, in this particular case, Censori. Additionally, West collaborated with Mowalola Ogunlesi, a London-based designer of Nigerian descent, to create the Yeezy Gap collection. According to Page Six, Ogunlesi said: “She (Bianca) has a lot to say about what she wants to wear. Everything Bianca wears is truly from her and Ye's brain. They want to show people that you can do this yourself. This is it.” Things that are attainable – tights. With tights, you can cut them and sew them – if that doesn’t work, you can wear another pair.”
