Goalkeeper Carey Price’s wife revealed over the weekend how she keeps her young children from sleeping with her at night.
During a Q&A (questions/answers) session on Instagram, Angela Price candidly revealed that she used a device called the “Door Monkey” to embarrass her children in her bedroom.
The small device makes it possible to keep the door open when the child tries to leave their room while being locked inside.
“We like the ‘Door Monkey’ because it leaves the door open which isn’t as aggressive as putting a lock on the handle,” wrote the mother-of-3: Liv (age 6), Millie (age 4) and Lincoln (2 years old).

Bianca Longpré, who you may know as the “Ordinary Mother,” simply couldn’t digest the solution offered by her maternity colleague.
In the hours that followed, Longpré, wife of comedian François Massicotte, published at least seven stories in response to Angela Price’s use of the “door monkey.”

Basically, the ordinary mother considers it unthinkable, irresponsible, in 2023 to lock up her children while they cry and need comfort.
And in a now-deleted story, Longpré outright insults Price.

“It doesn’t make any sense to me. You can’t embarrass a child you wanted who is scared at night or who needs their distress just to remind you that our shift as mom and parent and dad doesn’t end at night. At night, you’re still a mom and you’re still a dad, and you still have to take care of it,” she says, outraged by the publication of Angela Price, in the oldest of the stories ever available.

“If I lock your child in his room, it borders on abuse. […] Me to see that we’re promoting a castle for children, and like it’s easy, like, “It doesn’t matter! We’ll lock him in his room!” It bothers me,” she added in another short video.
She then proceeds to spill her bile against Mrs Price’s suggestion for 3 more one minute videos.

But perhaps it’s his first story, now being deleted, that will generate the most conversation.
In it, the Ordinary Mother can be heard saying, “‘Est mad, esti! “Price’s good wife is crazy! That can not be. There, I think about it. Imagine the fire burning “Well it was in his room! We didn’t want it to come out. Yes, don’t get out!” It’s illegal! It’s illegal, esti. Also, she inserts it into the story and puts an emoji next to it! She continues: “In my opinion it’s the little lock that she uses so that Price doesn’t run away, esti when it’s time to be with him. In my opinion she sets a lock so it can’t be saved! It needs that, without that you certainly don’t want to be in the room with…”
Angela Price also commented on her publication and wrote: “The aim is not to lock children in their rooms without food and water as punishment. But to avoid walking back and forth for three hours before bed, the Door Monkey can be a good option.”
She ends by saying, “This should be fun. I’m sorry if I offended anyone.”
