In particular, the president will discuss “the determined response to China’s high-altitude spy balloon,” White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said during a news conference.

The United States destroyed a Chinese balloon on February 4 it believes was conducting a spy mission. Then on February 10, 11 and 12 they shot down initially unidentified “objects”.

Joe Biden ordered the last three demolition operations in the name of aviation security, which the White House said could have been endangered by these “objects” flying at altitudes close to those of airplanes.

In the case of the Chinese balloon, the Republican opposition accused it of waiting too long to launch it.

The remains of these flying “objects” are being analyzed to determine with certainty their nature, use or origin, but recovery efforts promise to be uncertain because they were shot down over frozen waters or in remote areas, said John Kirby, spokesman for the National Security Council of the American executive branch, on Tuesday.

The American President has been under pressure to speak out on the issue that has been poisoning diplomatic relations between the United States and China for several weeks, with the two countries accusing each other of espionage.
