“Jackie, you are here? Where’s Jackie?” says the US President Joe Biden, during a speech in Washington asking where Republican Congresswoman Jackie Walorski of Indiana was. But Walorski couldn’t be there because she died in a car accident last month. Another big slip for the White House number one.
It came during a White House conference on obesity and food insecurity, where the US President said, “I want to thank you all here, including the bipartisan elected officials who represent you [Jim] McGovern, the senator [Mike] Brown, the senator [Cory] Booker, Rep Jackie – are you here? Where’s Jackie?’ After this request, the frost immediately fell into the room.

THE REASONING
Biden continued without correcting himself. After Walorski’s death, the White House issued a statement in which he and First Lady Jill said they were “shocked and saddened” by this sudden car accident.
“Truly a terrible and shameful mistake,” Rep. Vicky Hartzler, a Missouri Republican, tweeted in reference to the mistake.
Biden was “thinking intensely about her at the time,” White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters, trying to justify the president, but to no avail.
