Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have split after seven months of dating.
The 21-year-old singer and the 31-year-old musician confirmed in a statement to Page Six on Wednesday that they had split “amicably.”
A rep for Eilish said, “We can confirm that Billie and Jesse have amicably split and remain good friends.”
They also denied that the relationship ended because of cheating. Eilish and Rutherford were last seen together at Coachella in April.
The couple’s age gap romance had sparked controversy as Billie was just 20 and Jesse was 31 when they began their romance.
Billie and Jesse made their red carpet debut at the star-studded 2022 LACMA Art+Film Gala in November 2022.
Billie was first linked to Jesse, a singer from The Neighborhood, when the two were spotted by a fan at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in October 2022.

The creator uploaded a clip of the two walking close together on TikTok and added the caption “OMG I just saw Billie Eilish on Horror Nights” to the post.
In the brief role, the stars appeared to hold hands as band member The Neighborhood guided the singer out of a spooky maze.
Although Jesse’s face was not visible in the video, further social media posts revealed that he was at the park not only with Billie but also with her older brother Finneas.
In the snap, Jesse wore a leather jacket similar to the one featured in the now viral TikTok video.
The Grammy winner also uploaded a post of her posing in a bathroom, also captured at the busy amusement park.
Rumors quickly spread across the internet and the two were spotted having dinner together at a popular LA restaurant called Crossroads Kitchen.
The American singer kissed Rutherford after another dinner at La Mirch restaurant in Studio City.
Wrapping her arms around his shoulders, Eilish shared an intimate moment with the singer as they hit the streets.
On December 18, 2017, a Jesse Rutherford fan account tweeted pictures of Billie and Jesse playfully posing together at a costume party.

The couple hasn’t posted anything about their costumes on social media, but the ensembles have been branded “sick and twisted” by fans. The couple’s 11-year age difference, particularly because he may have known her since they were minors, has recently drawn backlash on social media.
In November 2022, the Bad Guy hitmaker gushed about “locking up” Rutherford when she first opened up about their relationship.
The “Happier Than Ever” singer described her high spirits about dating Jesse in an interview with Vanity Fair, whom she described as “the hottest f**ker in the world.”

You know I don’t want to be controlled. “I want to be trusted, I want space and I want love and attention, and that same admiration is really important.”
Eilish, who dated Matthew Tyler Vorce back in 2021, said she was “extremely grateful” for the romance she had with Vorce.
“I’m extremely grateful for the relationship I had last year and I think he’s a lot happier now, which makes me really happy,” she said.
