Billie Eilish is accused of objecting to the number of TikTok stars attending the People's Choice Awards – when she overheard a conversation with Kylie Minogue

Billie Eilish was overheard commenting on TikTokers in attendance at the People's Choice Awards.

In a video that circulated online, the singer said a thing or two about the presence of influencers at the show while speaking to Kylie Minogue.

Billie, 22, was heard telling Kylie, 55: “I think there are some… TikTokers here.”

Just as Billie said the word “TikTokers,” she seemingly covered one side of her face to avoid being overheard before pointing to something behind her.

Fans interpreted her comments as disapproval of the TikTokers, with many agreeing with her apparent objection to her presence: “Billie shading the scourge of the internet makes me like her even more,” one posted.

“lol I didn't make it in acting so I'm cooking on TikTok but in this case I'm with Billie,” someone added with a laughing and crying emoji.

“Tiktoker everywhere like a plague,” wrote another.

“There are actually some talented tiktokers but I don't know why they invite the bad guys lmaoo,” another posted.

“And she's right because Tiktokers aren't celebrities and don't belong at awards shows.” “You're cheapening them,” one wrote.

Billie won TV Performance of the Year for her role as cult leader Eva in the Prime miniseries Swarm.

For the award she competed against well-known personalities such as Meryl Streep, Ayo Edebiri and Jon Hamm.

“Wow, that was crazy to see,” Eilish said in her acceptance speech. “It was so crazy to see all these names and then mine and I'm here.” This was voted on by fans and I want to say how grateful, lucky and privileged I am for it. Thank you.'

She praised her collaborators on the project and acknowledged the show's creators, Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, as well as star Dominique Fishback.

“I just want to thank Donald Glover for being a lifelong inspiration and making me the artist I am today,” Eilish began.

“I owe this whole experience to her.” She deserves this more than I do. “She’s incredible, she’s beautiful, she’s talented, she should be cast in everything forever.”

At the end of her speech, she thanked her mother for being her acting teacher and the people who voted for her.

“Swarm” debuted early last year and earned Fishback both recognition and an Emmy nomination for her standout performance.

The plot revolves around obsessed fan Dre (Fishback), who goes to murderous extremes to protect the reputation of her beloved pop star.

Eilish portrayed Eva, a subtly manipulative cult leader within an all-female group who ensnares Dre under the guise of “female empowerment.”

Billie previously said that tackling toxic fandom on the show resonated with her as she experienced it in real life as a global pop star.

“This fan passion is so real and so beautiful, but also really scary,” she told Variety in June 2023. “And I think the show is a metaphor for that power – how people really are in the delusional nature of, 'She'll see me and we'll be best friends!'

“Fans really are so powerful, and I think they maybe don’t realize how powerful they are.”

The Oscar winner revealed that she wanted to try acting before the opportunity arose on Swarm.

Although both of her parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell, were actors, she initially suppressed this desire because she considered herself “really bad” at it, according to Variety.

It wasn't until Glover personally approached her about the role of Eva that she reconsidered and took the chance to pursue acting. Eilish was also nominated for the Pop Star of the Year award, which went to Taylor Swift.
