‘You never want to see your kids in pain’: Billie Faiers is heartbroken as daughter Nelly, 8, is rushed to hospital after a ‘horrible’ riding accident aired on the show
Billie Faiers was heartbroken when her eight-year-old daughter Nelly Shepherd was taken to hospital after a “horrific” horseback riding incident.
In scenes from her TV show Billie and Greg: The Family Diaries, which aired on Wednesday, the 32-year-old TV personality revealed her fear after receiving the call that Nelly had fallen off her horse and shattered her arm had broken.
In a VT of the show, the star, who is expecting her third child, said: “You never want your kids to be in pain, ever.”

Despite the September incident, the ITVBe program broadcast the dramatic moment when Nelly was taken to A&E in the taped episode.
Billie explained: “So Nelly was out riding and I got a call that Nelly had fallen off her horse. I could actually hear Nelly crying in the background.
“Greg comes and puts them in the car and they drove straight to A&E. They X-rayed her arm and immediately said it was a clean fracture of her humerus.

“The doctor actually said it’s probably one of the most painful bones to break in your body.”
The mum added emotionally: “Your heart just breaks. You never want to see your children suffer. It was just awful.’
Another scene then sees Nelly safely at home with her arm in a sling with the boy being visited by grandmother Suzie Wells.

When Nelly explains that she has to take her arm out of the sling for five minutes three times a day, her father Greg joked that she looked “shaky”.
To which a resolute Nelly replied, “If you call me shaky, I’ll say I’ve still got my left hand to punch you right in the balls.”
Suzie then quipped: “Nelly! You haven’t lost your sense of humor!’

Wry: When Nelly explained that she has to take her arm out of the sling for five minutes three times a day, her father Greg joked that she looked “shaky”.
In September, Billie said it was a “rough 24 hours” after Nelly was rushed to hospital with the injury.
The TV personality took a picture of her sleeping daughter with a black noose around her neck, holding up her arm and posted it to Instagram.
Billie wrote: “It’s been a tough 24 hours… my poor little lady broke her arm yesterday. She was so brave, lots of cuddles and rest.’

Billie and Greg shared the happy news that they are expecting a third child in June while enjoying a family holiday in Abu Dhabi.
The couple have been together since September 2011 and got engaged in 2014 while vacationing in the Maldives.
Billie and Greg returned to the Indian Ocean island paradise for their wedding and tied the knot in March 2019.
