Damar Hamlin continues his recovery at a Buffalo hospital after being discharged from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center as doctors say he is “fine” a week after suffering cardiac arrest.

Buffalo Bills safety, Damar Hamlin, has been discharged from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and has returned to western New York, according to doctors.
Hamlin will now go to a local hospital in Buffalo to continue testing and be monitored, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
This comes just a week after Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during the Week 17 Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I can confirm that he is doing well and this is the beginning of the next phase of his recovery,” said Dr. William Knight of UC.
“We remain excited about his recovery,” said Dr. Timothy Pritts.
This comes a day after Hamlin cheered from his hospital bed as the Buffalo Bills defeated the New England Patriots at Orchard Park in front of a raucous home crowd who held up signs wishing him a speedy recovery.

Other signs thanked Denny Kellington, the man who gave Hamlin the CPR needed to stay alive
Hamlin collapsed early in last Monday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals after attacking Bengals receiver Tee Higgins.
He was tended to by members of the Bills training staff, including Denny Kellington – who has been identified as the man who gave Hamlin the necessary CPR.
Hamlin was then taken to UC Medical Center where he was resuscitated and intubated.
