(CNN) – Actor and producer Billy Miller, known for his role as Billy Abbott in the American soap opera “The Young and the Restless,” has died at the age of 43.
Miller’s rep confirmed the news of Miller’s death in a statement to Variety on Sunday. “The actor was battling manic depression when he died,” the statement said.
Miller won three Daytime Emmy Awards — two for outstanding supporting actor and one for outstanding lead actor — for his role on “The Young and the Restless.” He appeared on the series from 2008 to 2014 and then appeared on “General Hospital” from 2014 to 2019.
He also appeared in the 2014 film “American Sniper” and in the television series “Ray Donovan” and “Suits.”
Miller most recently had roles in “NCIS” and “The Rookie.”
Miller was born William John Miller on September 17, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and died on Friday in Austin, Texas.
