Nature is truly surprising and can produce incredible discoveries. It is a mysterious shark which was pulled from the seabed by the fisherman Trapman Bermagui. He is responsible for fishing this mysterious shark in New South Wales, Australia. It is striking that only a few experts could risk which animal it is.

Science Lessons
The fisherman shared the image of the mysterious shark on Facebook, where you can see the kind of rough skin that covers what is sure to be a cartilaginous skeleton of this rare specimen. It didn’t take long for social media users to be in attendance, expressing surprise and fear at the shark’s physical appearance.
A scientist joined the debate, claiming that “it was a swallow shark.” So said Brit Finucci, a fisheries scientist at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research in New Zealand. The academic specializes in deepsea sharks and told Live Science via email. However, it’s unclear exactly which species in this group it belongs to, he added.
The truth is that the identification of the mysterious shark has sparked a great deal of debate in the academic community, in hopes that it will soon be clarified if it is really a new species or if scientist Finucci is right.
How are discoveries made?
From now on, the body of the mysterious shark will be examined by several other people and scientists. The aim is to clarify which shark species it is and whether it could be an as yet unknown species.
The appearance of the fish is really variable, but that may be due to the shark’s conservation status and cause of death. Therefore, scientists will discuss the topic and analyze samples to bring them to a common denominator. A final result should be issued soon.
