The Bareknuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) presents ‘BKFC 27 London’ this afternoon (Sat 20th August 2022) at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, England and will be streamed live on FITE.tv. In the main event, No. 2 Bellator welterweight Michael “Venom” Page will make his barknuckle boxing debut against former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) breaker “Platinum” Mike Perry. Also on the card are BKFC mainstay Sam Shewmaker, who is fighting Mick Terrill at heavyweight, and another former UFC competitor making his BK debut, Chris Fishgold, who is mixed with “Brutal” Jake Bostwick, another former martial arts (MMA) practitioners.

Round 1: Goodjohn in black, Lilley in red. Lilley comes out and shoots Goodjohn. Lilley throws big combos and spins. Goodjohn is bleeding profusely from his left eye. Both men land with their right hands and now Lilley has some blood from the outside of his eye socket. Left by Goodjohn.

Round 2: Doc checks the bad cut on Goodjohn, but we’re on our way. Lilley gets a jab. They clutch and push at each other – Lilley with his left hand, Goodjohn with his right. Goodjohn steps forward, eating a jab for his trouble. 30 seconds left. Lilley hits an uppercut. 1-2 by Goodjohn who lands these two solidly.

Round 3: Goodjohn’s eye looks ugly but it’s not closed. Right-Left-Right and FAST by Lilley. Right by Goodjohn, 3-2 by Lilley in return. A few rights thrown and landed by Goodjohn. Lilley lands multiple times again. Both men with body punches.

Round 4: Goodjohn pumps a jab. Both men combine rights. Lilly continues to circle and twirl in counters, Goodjohn seems utterly unable to cut the ring off. Goodjohn lands two very nice right hands but Lilly eats them. Lilly with a double jab. Lilley with a double leg takedown from a clinch to embarrassed apologies.

Round 5:
220 lbs.: Mick Terrill vs. Sam Shewmaker
Round 1: Shewmaker in the Stars & Stripes but with a black half down the other leg, Terrill in white. Shewmaker misses a left lunge to start. Missed shot, clinch and a ref break. Terrill with a big jab into a swarming series of punches and an uppercut dropping Shewmaker. He’s up and we’re back. Terrill is still cautious. Terrill hits the clinch again and gets a hockey-style shot, reaching behind the head and hitting with the other, dropping Shewmaker. Shewmaker won’t count!

175 lbs.: Jake Bostwick vs. Chris Fishgold
Round 1: Fishgold in black, Bostwick in yellow and pink. Fishgold starts fast and occupies the middle. Some trash talk from Fishgold but eats right. They both swing heavily. Bostwick with a solid hook that stops Fishgold for a moment. Right hand of Fishgold. Bostwick dodges a pair. “Brutal” Bostwick 10-9
Round 2: Both men score on the right. Fishgold gets a jab. Bostwick right-left combo. He swarms, gets a big shot in that ricochets out the mouthpiece and opens up a big cut on Fishgold and he goes down! He beats the count and we’re back after he collects his mouthpiece. Not sure what happened in a clinch but Fishgold goes down. He claims it was a slip but referee Dan Miragliotta counts an 8. Bostwick gets a body shot right in front of the bell which Fishgold drops again and…WOW! Fishgold says he can’t breathe and we’re done!
