We are LIIIVVVVEEEEE!
Well, we’ll be there in a few hours. Tonight (Sat., Dec. 2, 2023) we’re coming live from the Maverick Center in Salt Lake City, Utah to a monitor (or cast screen) near you: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) 56. While it stinks that we lost a really good duel between them Ben Rothwell And Todd Duffee (Details here), this is still one hell of a lineup, with BKFC’s biggest name, “Platinum” Mike Perryin a fight against another ex-mixed martial arts (MMA) star, Eddie Alvarez.
Also on the card – and stop me if you’ve read this line before – but we have even more former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) names in contention, with a feature matchup between them Jeremy Stephens vs. Jimmy Rivera.
Oh, and there are three title fights…no big deal.
The reigning champion at 125 pounds, Christine Fereawill once again compete against the pioneer of OnlyFans, Bec Rawlings, hoping to put an end to the competition that appeared to have been eliminated early due to a medical interruption last April. Now a 145 pound kingpin, Kai Stewartwill defend his gold against the leading candidate, Howard Davisand the big boy strap is also on the line, as Arnold Adams And Mick Terrill will fight for free gold.
MMAmania.com will provide a LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire BKFC 56 fight card below, starting with the “Prelims” subcard Youtube at 8 p.m. ET (Check it out here), followed by the FITE.tv Main card start time at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Christine Ferea vs. Bec Rawlings for the BKFC flyweight title
Round 1: Rawlings in black and white, Ferea in black and gold. Ferea used the pawing motion to open up. They cling to each other and are torn apart. Nice shot from Ferea. Rawlings eats another jab and avoids the overhand. Rawlings is excited when she catches Ferea coming forward.
10-9 Ferea
Round 2: Rawlings fails under a punch, but Ferea manages to get back up with a right punch. They get into tight situations and both start throwing in quick succession. Both women repeatedly land clean. Ferea backs up Rawlings and eats a jab as she moves forward. Ferea gets Rawlings to the ropes and lands a three count. Rawlings looked like she thought the referee was going to end the short clinch, but that didn’t happen and she ate those shots. Rawlings rushes back to get Ferea to retreat. She’s bleeding now.
10-9 Ferea
Round 3: Rights lands on both women. Ferea works on her jab while Rawlings seems content to block the deficit. Rawlings with a right to the gut. Another one. Both reach the left. Now it also looks like Ferea has a cut on her eye. Oh, very nice directly from Ferea in the last seconds. Rawlings ate that clean.
10-9 Ferea
Round 4: Solid right counter from Rawlings. Ferea with a few jabs and there’s a follow-up right hand. 1-2 from Rawlings and that 2 was good. Another repeat combination. Ferea comes in with a 2-3 and both land. They swirl in and it looks like Ferea gets a few in. Rawlings with a right.
10-9 Rawlings
Round 5: Rawlings with a right, avoids a combo from Ferea and lands a left. Ferea now counters with her right and follows up again with her right. Ferea’s strength is on display here as every time she lands a few punches, Rawlings is knocked back a few steps. Ferea doubled on the right side, but neither was super clean. Rawlings with a few rights. Ferea with a shovel hook, Rawlings with an overhand. The clapper sounds and they start showering it on each other. Close the round here.
10-9 Ferea
Final result: Christine Ferea defeated Bec Rawlings, unanimous decision
Kai Stewart vs. Howard Davis for the BKFC featherweight title
Round 1: Stewart in black and gold, Davis in white. Stewart is in front, Davis wants to counter. Davis manages to dodge and land a counterattack. Stewart comes in and lands a right. Stewart ducks and lands a low blow, the referee stops the action. Davis with a right to a Stewart entrance. Stewart gets into a clinch.
10-9 Davis
Round 2: 1-2 by Davis as the bell rings but both miss. Stewart gets into a clinch and looks like a Tasmanian devil. He lands a series of shots as Davis looks to either get the win or score the equalizer. Stewart with a right hand on the entrance.
10-9 Stewart
Round 3: Stewart continues his whirling dervish pace as he collapses the bag, throwing punches in clusters both at the entrance and at all points thereafter. Davis with a right. Both men have land rights. There’s turmoil on the inside, and Davis looks like he’s finally gotten over a rally there, landing a left hook and a right hook.
10-9 Stewart
Round 4: Stewart charges forward and lands a left. Both men miss uppercuts. Stewart gets on the referee’s nerves as he keeps throwing punches after the referee says “stop.” He does it again and gets a “hard warning”. On the restart, something lands cleanly on Stewart as Davis’ nose is bleeding. They trade off as the clapper sounds, and both men land cleanly. Nice straight from Davis at the end.
10-9 Stewart
Round 5: Stewart feints and lands a lunge left. Stewart fires off a few shots each time he attacks, eventually receiving some return fire from Davis. Stewart lands a right, gets into a phone booth and shoots the body. They slow down a bit from the manic pace of before. Left-right swing from Stewart.
10-9 Stewart
Final result: Kai Stewart defeated Howard Davis, unanimous decision
Arnold Adams vs. Mick Terrill for the BKFC heavyweight title
Round 1: Terrill in white, Adams in red. Slow start here as Adams just ducks and moves away from Terrill’s right hand. There is a right by Adams and a left by Terrill. Adams with a clean jab. Lands another one. Terrill comes in with a right punch to the neck as Adams ducks.
10-9 Adams in a very close round
Round 2: Terrill lands a straight left. Could have been a power jab. Terrill misses a big swing and somehow falls to the canvas. He called it a slip, which makes sense. They get into a clinch and both men shower each other with right hands in the ribs. Terrill cut his cheek. Straight from Terrill and a punch from Adams.
10-9 Terrill
Round 3: Terrill with a counter right that stuns Adams a bit. Adams’ jab was nice throughout. Terrill wipes blood from his eye. Terrill wing to the right. Adams ducks his head way too far down and is warned by the referee. Adams has slowed down enormously. The thrust is still quick, but his feet move in slow motion. Terrill with a right and Adams continues, exhausted.
10-9 Terrill
Round 4: Strong right hand from Terrill as he really targets a tired Adams. There is a short shot and Adams is on the ground. He’s counting, but he looks exhausted. They start again and Terrill hits a big right that sends Adams to the floor. Dan Miragliotta counts to ten, but he could have counted to 30 and Adams wouldn’t have gotten up.
Final result: Mick Terrill defeated Arnold Adams, KO
Jeremy Stephens vs. Jimmie Rivera
Round 1: Rivera in white, Stephens in black. Stephens misses with a jab. Rivera to the body. Again eats a left hook in response. Rivera hits a left to the jaw and escapes the return fire. Rivera penetrates the body repeatedly. Overhand right from Rivera and left. Fires back with one of his own. Stephens cuts Rivera with a right hand. More swipes from Rivera at the corpse.
10-9 Rivera
Round 2: Jab from Stephens. Rivera’s body-head again. Stephens seems unfazed, but he has been outclassed in every fight so far. More good combo bodywork from the smaller Rivera, who has a little mouse on the left side of his head. Well, straight from Stephens. Rivera goes to the head first before returning to the body.
10-9 Rivera in a close round
Round 3: Left by Stephens and right by Rivera. A big uppercut sends Rivera crashing to the canvas and he now has a huge cut above his left eye. Left of both men. Rivera with an aggressive combo. Nice short right shot from Stephens in the clinch.
10-8 Stephens
Round 4: Man, this cut looks terrible. And yes, the doctor stops it. It’s in a bad spot on the outside of Rivera’s eyebrow.
Final result: Jeremy Stephens defeated Jimmy Rivera, TKO
