Black Friday 2023 is just around the corner Friday, November 24th. Thanksgiving is celebrated the day before Thursday, November 23rd. Black Friday falls on the Friday immediately after Thanksgiving every year.

While the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas has historically been a time of intense holiday shopping and spending since the Great Depression, the recent surge in online shopping suggests that Black Friday could eventually evolve into “Black November.”
Why is it called Black Friday?
The day after Thanksgiving, with roots dating back to the 1860s, has long been known as Black Friday. The name derives from the numerous sales that take place on this day, which have traditionally helped retailers finish the year “black” with high profit margins.
What should I buy on Black Friday?
Black Friday offers great bargains in all categories. Whatever you need, Black Friday is the perfect time to get it at a cheaper price. When do the stores open on Black Friday?
Almost every store is open for the biggest shopping holiday of the year! This year, most major retailers are expected to open their doors between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Black Friday proper. In 2022, Walmart, Macy’s, Lowe’s and Bed Bath & Beyond opened at 6 a.m., while Costco and Nordstrom welcomed shoppers starting at 9 a.m
Keep in mind that many stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day, the day before Black Friday. If your favorite store is closed or you’re not there to shop in person, both Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are always available online.
What are the best deals for Black Friday 2023?

When does Black Friday end?
Technically, Black Friday 2023 ends as soon as Cyber Monday begins Monday, November 27th. However, some retailers are extending their Black Friday sales significantly – last year we saw some extended Black Friday sales lasting into early December.
If you want to get the best deals, it’s best to shop on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as well as the weekend between the two shopping holidays. Black Friday deals often sell out quickly. So if you see a great deal, be sure to grab it before it’s gone!
