After a difficult start in life, Brooke moved into the nursing home of her dreams. The kitty has set out to discover the “Palace of the Panthers”: a house reserved for black shelter cats, often ignored due to the color of their hair. Did she take the opportunity to make a fresh start?

Brooke arrived at a Los Angeles animal shelter in the summer of 2022. At that time the kitten was only 5 weeks old. She was full of fleas and was limping from a hind leg injury, reports Cole & Marmalade.
The volunteers knew immediately that Brooke would make a quick recovery provided she was placed with foster families. It was a young woman named Bev who decided to open the doors of her home for her and what is certain is that Brooke could not have dreamed of anything better!

In fact, Bev welcomes many black cats under her roof. The reason ? “They get rejected more often than cats of any other color. I’m proud to get them back and give them a chance,” she said.
Brooke, black as ebony, then blended in with the crowd in her new “palace”. She initially remained in quarantine to prevent the spread of a possible illness, but her colleague London had already caught the eye. She was looking forward to Brooke playing with her!

When the cat’s quarantine ended, she joined seven other little “panthers,” with whom she got on well, although she was a little shy at first. Brooke quickly began doing somersaults around the house while “her big doe eyes” melted her benefactor day after day. A real “gem”!

Brooke was then put up for adoption, and to Bev’s delight, the adoption was done in no time. “This beautiful cat with a fabulous personality was adopted by this sweet lady today. In her new home she will have a small dog to play with. Congratulations Brooke! ‘ she commented on Facebook.
