Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright and Danai Gurira led the stars at the 2022 EBONY Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The cast of their new film were co-rewarded with the Culture Awards during the evening’s star-studded celebration hosted by Coke Zero Sugar at Milk Studios.
Lupita, 39, who won an Oscar for her stirring performance in 12 Years A Slave, made a splash in a monochromatic ensemble that featured flared trousers and crossed sashes.
Meanwhile, Letitia flaunted her vertiginous legs in a bright red wrap dress reminiscent of the 1970s, and enhanced the effect with matching stiletto heels.
Danai, on the other hand, channeled the 1920s in a sleek white mesh dress with a cleavage that was fringed from both the bust and hem.
All three women, who have returned from their roles in the original film for the Black Panther sequel, gathered to treat the photographers to some stunning, star-studded group shots.
Chadwick Boseman, who played Black Panther, tragically died in 2020 aged just 43 after a secret battle with cancer, and rather than recast the role, the sequel has moved on with its female co-stars front and center.
