BLACKPINK Honored as Distinguished Guests at the South Korea UK State

BLACKPINK is currently in the UK as they were honored as esteemed guests at the South Korea-British State Banquet at Buckingham Palace.

The banquet was held on November 21 in honor of the South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol Visit to the United Kingdom to further strengthen the cultural bond between the two nations. The event was attended by various British and Korean dignitaries, including the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and members of the royal family was a significant event that demonstrated the cultural ties between the two countries.

BLACKPINK attended the banquet as COP26 ambassadors and advocates of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The four members were recognized during the banquet for bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience.

Shortly thereafter, various videos were released showing the members at the banquet and the meeting with King Charles III. highlighted, shared on various online communities and social media platforms.

Back in November 2021, at the COP26 summit in Glasgow, Scotland, BLACKPINK played an important role as a goodwill ambassador and advocate for climate action. They released a video urging world leaders to take climate change seriously and calling for collective action to combat environmental threats. This participation was part of their ongoing efforts to raise awareness of climate change, in line with their ambassadorial role for COP26.
