Spotted: Serena van der Woodsen leaving Gigi Hadid’s birthday bash in New York City in a totally chic outfit — or should we say Blake Lively?
The actress channeled her Gossip Girl character in a color-blocked outfit straight out of the teen drama’s late storyline. Lively left Zero Bond, where Hadid was throwing her 27th birthday party, in a magenta form-fitting mini dress by Sergio Hudson. The sleek number featured a sleeveless, fitted silhouette with vertical front seams and a square neckline. Adding to Lively’s overall glamor was gold dangle earrings at the front and back with dangling strands of multicolored gemstones.

Lively completed her outfit with two accessories from her Gossip Girl years. The first was a Chanel red patent leather oblong clutch with topstitching and a “Reissue” flap silhouette. The bag dates back to 2008 – just before Lively became a brand ambassador – and paired seamlessly with her statement Christian Louboutin heels. The sell-out Bois Dore style came from Louboutin’s 2012 20th Anniversary Collection and featured red suede uppers with rounded toes and platform soles. Adding a dynamic finish to the set were intricately sculpted 5.5 inch wooden heels finished in metallic gold for added flair.

This is not the only fashionable celebration of the actress this season. In less than two weeks, Lively will serve as one of the co-chairs of the 2022 Met Gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” alongside husband Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The star-studded event, taking place May 2 in New York City and supported this year by Instagram and Condé Nast, raises funds for the Museum’s Costume Institute exhibits and future improvements. Similar to the 2021 Met Gala, the honorary co-chairs will include Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, as well as designer Tom Ford and Instagram boss Adam Mosseri.

When it comes to fashion, Lively has a thing for glamour. On the front of her shoes, she often wears pointed pumps, lace-up boots and strappy sandals by Louboutin, Alaïa, Tory Burch and Valentino. In her free time she prefers sneakers from Nike, Allbirds and Vans.
