Accompanied by the eight candidates of the evening, they presented their new songs from their current album. In “Coco de cuir” the usual musicians of the band “La Voix” even appeared as choristers.

“It looks like we’re feeling their fever,” confided Claude Cobra, leader of the group, to the agency QMI after their performance. They carve out a place in the competition and I’m amazed to see how they manage to deliver something beautiful despite the pressure. It’s cool to be able to be by her side for a number.

Still wearing their big hats, Bleu Jeans Bleu continued with “Top Minou” with the addition of Jay’s voice. Claude Cobra then used the contribution of Loïck Jolicoeur and Adam El Mouna for “Crazy Carpet” with a chorus formed by the other contestants. “Everything they learn, the rigors of the work, these are tools that will serve them in the future.”

The Bleu Jeans Bleu singer also had the opportunity to have a brief appearance in Axelle Red’s number, on the song “Sensualité”. “Everyone of my generation knows this song,” said Claude Cobra. Singing it with the original artist showing his chest, it’s crazy. These are opportunities that are coming that I never thought were possible.”

A generous performance by Axelle Red

Axelle Red generously shared the stage with the eight contestants battling for the semi-finals of La Voix this Sunday. She debuted with “My Prayer” before releasing her biggest hit “Sensuality.” Claude Cobra from Bleu Jeans Bleu even came to share a choir with her and the candidates.

“I found the candidates really grateful, I thought that was nice,” the Belgian singer told QMI agency as she left the stage. Among them are many talents. The further we go, the more we feel that the young people are ready. What impressed me the most was her maturity. They are aware that they have the opportunity to learn a lot in a short period of time, but it’s just a stepping stone. Then it goes on.”

She returned at the end of the program to perform her hit “I’m Waiting for You”, accompanied simply by the electric guitar.

With family

For her trip to Quebec, Axelle Red has decided to come with her family, her husband and agent Filip Vanes and their three daughters Janelle (24), Gloria (20) and Billie (18). “It was then that we fell madly in love with Quebec with her father. We’ve always had a connection to this place. Except for the eldest, who came as babies, my daughters were new to Montreal and they immediately felt the same way. We feel good, we are very well received, with a greater cosmopolitanism than in Europe.”

If the love of Quebec was passed down to her children, her mother’s artistic side is also in her genes. “The youngest will take an entrance exam for a musical comedy school, she loves to sing. The oldest is an actress, but she is also studying. In addition, he is a very dedicated person. And Gloria is reluctant to come to Montreal and study there. She also took the opportunity to visit Concordia University and she is very excited.

As for Axelle Red, who even admitted to having family in Quebec, she promised that she would come back more often in the future.
