Havana, 6 Oct (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez denounced this Thursday that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s tour of Latin America was intended to defend his country’s hostile policy towards the island.

Cuba’s foreign minister tweeted that Blinken “can respect the truth and didn’t,” instead trying to justify the abuses against Cuba, given the almost unanimous call against the US blockade and the unfair designation in the one-page list of States that sponsor terrorism created by Washington.

The head of US diplomacy arrived in Chile today after a visit to Colombia, where he met with President Gustavo Petro, who called the United States’ decision to keep Cuba on the list of countries allegedly supporting terrorism unfair designated island was a guarantor of the peace accords.

Blinken will conclude his tour in Peru, where he plans to meet with President Pedro Castillo and attend the General Assembly of the Organization of American States.

On November 2nd and 3rd, Cuba will submit to the United Nations General Assembly the resolution on the need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.

Presenting for the thirtieth time, the project calls for an end to this policy that has affected the island for more than 60 years.

According to Cuban authorities, the blockade caused $6,364 million in damage to the island in the first 14 months of Joe Biden’s administration alone, with the aim of undermining the constitutional order in Cuba. (Source:PL)
