Block attendees shed tears and throw tantrums during Living and Dining Room week

The Block participants have an emotional and nerve-wracking week ahead as they begin work on their living and dining rooms.

But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows for the blockheads.

In a preview of the coming week, teams will really be put to the test as the show announces a “supersize week” of “big ideas,” “big boo-boos,” and “big busts.”

“Biggest room The Block has ever tackled,” says Omar in the clip.

The trailer also features some big ideas from the contestants, including Rachel and Ryan’s “wall-to-ceiling stone fireplace” and a “baby grand piano” by Omar and Oz.

But of course, a massive week always comes with massive drama.

Part of the clip shows a ute being pulled across the dirt driveway along with a vehicle trailer.

The camera then cuts to a distraught Sharon in tears.

“It’s just impossible,” she cries before the cameras catch an obviously unimpressed Foreman Dan.

“They’re just excuses, everything I hear over there,” he says bluntly.

It comes after controversial contestants Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra escalated their feud with host Scott Cam after he told them they needed to change their tune.

Sharon called Scott “a grumpy old man” during an interview with TV Week last week and said he made no attempt to apologize following her recent outburst.

Despite the constant backlash they face, Sharon and Ankur are happy to represent Indian culture on reality TV.

Tensions ran high in recent episodes, prompting Scott and co-host Shelley Craft to review their workload and work ethic.

Shelley went in as a good cop and asked the Melbourne couple how they were feeling before Scott provided the cold hard facts.

‘Nobody’s keeping you here and you can leave whenever you want. It’s not obligatory,” he snapped.

Sharon and Ankur once again found themselves at the center of a “cheating” scandal last week when they recently won a challenge.

The couple won $13,000 in prizes in an antiques challenge on last Wednesday’s episode when their makeup mirror made a $250 profit.

But the other teams weren’t happy, blaming them for a “pain win” as the task required the teams to purchase an item suitable for a kitchen.

“Full vote of sympathy, I think,” rival Tom told producers.

“On Sunday they get a nice mirror in their kitchen,” laughed Omar. ‘You can watch yourself cook!’

Meanwhile, Rachel reached the breaking point, calling Sharon and Ankurs’ victory unfair.

“It’s not a fair playing field,” she said. ‘This [show] seems to have a way of breaking your spirit. But I hope it was all worth it.”

The block continues this week on Channel 9 from Tuesday to Thursday after the program was changed due to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II
