A woman who had just been stabbed on the New York subway had a reflex to film her attacker, which contributed to his arrest.
The video was also published by the New York Post. The pictures were taken by the victim on the subway near Brooklyn around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
It was one of three knife attacks in less than 20 minutes.
“For no reason, a man walked past me and stabbed me,” said the victim, who preferred to remain anonymous. I don’t know what he used. He walked away casually. I was shocked. I didn’t feel the pain right away.
“My first instinct was to take a video of him,” she added. Then I looked down and saw the blood flow.
The video shows a person wearing white shoes standing in front of the injured woman and then seemingly walking past her.
The victim was injured in the leg. She was bleeding profusely before being taken to the hospital.
The New York police arrested the alleged perpetrator of the assault on Tuesday. This is Kemal Rideout, a 28-year-old man.
“She’s a hero,” the woman’s mother told the Big Apple newspaper. She got up. She did well. She got up, struggling with her injuries, and took a picture of him.
“He slowly walked away,” she added. He walked casually. He didn’t run. You could see him walking through the door. He looked back. He saw my daughter filming. My daughter will never be the same again. She will always look behind her.
