Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kent Johnson is under evaluation and will miss the remainder of the season.
The club announced this on Sunday and stated that the 21-year-old ice hockey player was suffering from a left shoulder injury.
The Blue Jackets' first-round pick (fifth overall) in the 2021 draft was injured last Wednesday against the New York Rangers.
He ends his season with a harvest of six goals and 10 assists and 16 points in 42 games. He also played 10 games for the Cleveland Monsters of the American League. In the development round he collected 15 points.
Additionally, the Blue Jackets stated that goaltender Elvis Merzlikins has an upper body injury and that his health will be evaluated daily. The Ohio organization urgently recalled Jet Greaves from the Monsters.
