Bobbie Jean Carter, sister of singers Nick and Aaron Carter, has died at the age of 41.
TMZ reports that Carter passed away on Saturday (December 23) in Florida. Her cause of death was not immediately known at the time of publication.
Bobbie Jean worked as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist for her brothers in the early 2000s. She also appeared on the family's E! program. Reality TV show, House of Carters.
Bobbie Jean's brother Aaron died on November 5, 2022 as a result of accidental drowning. Her older sister Leslie died of an accidental drug overdose in 2012.
Bobbie Jean is survived by her brother Nick (of the Backstreet Boys) and her sister Angel, as well as her daughter Bella.
“I am shocked to learn of the sudden death of my daughter Bobbie Jean. and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this event for the third time,” Bobbie Jean's mother, Jane Carter, said in a statement. “When I am able to think clearly, I will make a more detailed explanation; But until then, I would like to ask that you leave yourself alone to grieve.”
“[H]As deeply as a parent feels the loss of a child, the grief of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater,” Jane added. “So I would like to ask those of compassion to say a prayer for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now left without her mother too.”
