Beloved Young Talent Time star Bobby Driessen has died in his sleep at the age of 56.
Driessen was a regular cast member on Young Talent Time from 1979 to 1983, with the Network 10 show paying tribute to the former cast member on social media.
“All of us here at Young Talent Time are incredibly saddened by the news that one of our beloved team members, Bobby Driessen, has passed away in his sleep,” Young Talent Time posted on Facebook Thursday night.

“Only 56 years old, far too young to leave us. Bobby you will be sorely missed. Vale Bobby Driessen.’
Young Talent Time cast member Beven Addinsall also paid his respects to Driessen, saying his death was “a shock”.
“I joined Young Talent Time in 1983. The team member I replaced was Bobby Driessen,” Mr Addinsall wrote.
“A uniquely talented, funny and charismatic person. I’m so sad to hear that Bobby died in his sleep.
“He was only 56 and it was quite a shock. Vale Bobby Driessen. REST IN PEACE.’

Blue Wiggle’s Anthony Field commented “So sorry” on his post.
Driessen fans have flocked to Facebook and Twitter to mourn the loss of the talented artist, who also appeared on an episode of Neighours in 1985 – with many Australians admitting he was their first crush.
“So sad to hear of the passing of Bobby Driessen today, such a beautiful voice and my first TV crush,” one person wrote.
“Oh, that’s really sad. One of my first TV crushes. RIP Bobby, thanks for the reminders,’ said a second.
Young Talent Time cast member Beven Addinsall also paid his respects to Driessen (pictured), saying his death was “a shock”.
“So sad to hear that Bobby has passed away, he will miss family and fans alike. RIP Bobby,” commented a third.
“I loved Bobby and he had such a beautiful voice to match those beautiful eyes. Condolences to his loved ones,” said a fourth.
When Driessen left Young Talent Time, he seemed to disappear from the spotlight as the show couldn’t find him when they organized a reunion event last year.
In a Facebook post, Young Talent Time wrote last year: “Bobby was one of two people we couldn’t locate for our reunion show earlier this year. If anyone has their details please let us know.’
Australian icon Dannii Minogue appeared on the show from 1982 to 1988 alongside cast members Karen Dunkerton, Joey Perrone, Mark McCormack and Jodie Loebert.
