At the cliff house, Steffy and Finn wonder why Thomas was talking to Sheila in the alley. Steffy ponders: “What did my brother get himself into?” She summarizes that Thomas behaved really strangely. She followed him after overhearing his intense call. Finn wonders why she didn’t confront them. Steffy didn’t want to give Sheila a chance to tell a story. “Something’s wrong with Thomas, I need to know what it is,” she laments. Steffy worries he’s in trouble, but Finn argues he could have met with Sheila to let her know and make sure their parents were reunited. Steffy doesn’t understand why he should hide it. Finn thinks it might be him. Steffy thinks it makes sense; There’s nothing he wouldn’t do to bring her parents back together.

Finn thinks Sheila is on her best behavior and doubts she’d be willing to risk the progress she’s made over the holidays. Steffy suspects that Thomas could only protect his family. Finn pulls her into a hug and assures her everything will be fine. She sighs, “That’s nice.” He points out that the children are asleep. He will check on her and she can meet him in the bedroom. Steffy smiles but looks worriedly over at a framed photo of Thomas.

In Forrester’s engineering office, Thomas ponders his situation and pulls out his cell phone. Taylor walks in to take him to lunch and realizes something is wrong. Thomas insists he is fine and asks her to trust him. She muses, “You’re a distraction.” He denies it, claiming he was a little worried their reunion wouldn’t last. Taylor sums up that she and Ridge reconnected and it was really nice. Thomas winces. Taylor asks, “Thomas?” He notes their bond and how amazing and loving she is. Her love shines through and he wants the same for her. Thomas believes his father loves her, and he wants to make sure nothing stands in his way. Taylor reminds him that their relationship is not his responsibility. Thomas just wants her to be happy with the kind of fulfillment she deserves. She and his father obviously give that to each other. Taylor tells her son how much she loves his father – but with everything that’s happening with Brooke, she doesn’t want to admit that she wants a life with him, but she really hopes so. Thomas smiles: “Me too.”

At Brooke’s house, she confesses to Ridge that she hurt him and continues to hurt him. She wants to know if they can get through something. Ridge interrupts that he came to check on her. Brooke wants him back. “You’re my man. Come back home. Be my husband.” Ridge says the obvious: “You want me to come home.” Brooke confirms that she does—they’ve been through too much to end up like this. “Please, please come home. Please be with me.” Ridge looks at her through narrowed eyes with an inscrutable expression. Brooke reminds him that he is her destiny. You’ve had an incredible journey and it doesn’t want it to end. “I don’t think you either.” She insists they can do it. “What are you saying?” That’s why Ridge didn’t come tonight. Brooke assures him that she hasn’t been drinking. Ridge doesn’t want her triggered again. She insists she doesn’t want a drink. “All I want is you.” She understands his reluctance and states that she will wait as long as he needs her. Brooke will always love him and knows he will always love her too. She walks away as Ridge grabs her hand and tells her she’s right. He loves her and will always love her. Brooke gasps with joy and relief and falls into his arms.

Steffy enters her bedroom bathed in candlelight. Finn, shirtless, says to his wife, “It’s been too long.” She nods and pulls him into a passionate kiss. After admiring how he got the room ready so quickly, Finn gives her a heartfelt speech about how much he loves her and how sexy she is. “You have brought so much into my life and I look forward to a long, happy future with you. I love you.” Steffy whispers, “I love you.” They start kissing again, and Finn undresses his wife before lowering her onto a rose-petal-covered bed to have sex with her.
