At Forrester Creations, Thomas, Taylor and Ridge continue their conversation about how much Steffy loves running the company. Ridge doesn’t think she needs him anymore, especially with Thomas by her side. Taylor and Ridge are just thrilled that their children are happy and will live long, healthy lives. Taylor thinks the way the three work together is great, and it’s discussed that Steffy is a “doer” who gets things done, just like her grandmother Stephanie. The conversation turns to Finn and Ridge continues how much he likes him. He wonders where all his good qualities come from since his biological mother is a psychopath.
The paramedics have arrived in the alley and Deacon informs them that this is how he found them. He gives their names when asked and asks them to do something. “Is she alive?!?” Deacon watches in horror as the paramedics work on Steffy. The paramedic announces that Steffy is alive. A police officer arrives and the paramedic announces that there are two gunshot victims who are critical. Deacon tells the officer he couldn’t find a pulse and gets annoyed.
In her hotel room, Sheila rocks and murmurs that she didn’t mean to hurt anyone. Finn shouldn’t even be there. “No Finn. Not my son.”
In the alley, Deacon rants that Finn can’t be dead while they cover his face with a sheet and roll him away. The cop questions Deacon, who just found her on the ground and didn’t hear any gunshots. He wonders, “Who the hell would do that?”
In her room, Sheila looks in the mirror and says, “I killed my own son.” She aggressively brushes her hair.

In the alley, Deacon insists on making a phone call to let the family know what’s going on. The officer tells him to do it, but puts it on speakerphone. Deacon calls Ridge and asks him not to hang up. “I’m at the restaurant and there was a shooting.” In the office, Ridge staggers when Deacon tells him that Finn and Steffy were shot. “Finn didn’t make it and Steffy isn’t doing well,” says Deacon before warning him, “Ridge, go now. Steffy needs you.”
At the office, Ridge disconnects and tells Thomas and Taylor that Steffy and Finn have been shot. They all pick up.

They were shot.” Sheila responds, “Shot?” She asks if they are okay and says they had better go. Deacon stops them. “Shilah. I’m sorry…” Sheila shakes her head and yells, “Don’t.” Deacon says, “Sheila, he’s gone. He did not make it. I’m sorry.” Sheila falls onto the bed sobbing.
